Things to consider...
Sliding glass doors have the biggest expanse of glass in a home, and so give us our best views!
To decorate, look at your slider as a piece of art, because your view is exactly that. Now decorate that art with a picture frame, the frame being the valance across the top and drapes on the sides!
When choosing your "picture frame", think of some practical matters... Do you use that door often? Do you have small children and/or pets? If the answer is a yes, then a valance without the drapes, would be best.
Now look around the room and consider your colors. You can order free fabric samples at http://diyvalances.com/Fabric_Finder.aspx

Sliding doors are a unique element to add to your home. They function as single or double doors that slide on tracks to open and shut. The tracks are found on the top or bottom of the frame, depending on the type of door, and allow the door to easily move along the track to be opened and closed.
